In accordance with the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 18, 2022 No. 833, October 24 was established as Librarian's day. In honor of the significant professional holiday, a solemn event was held in the Scientific Library of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. The event was attended by the vice-rector of the university, faculty, librarians and students.

The presentation of the book "Practical Course of the Arabic language" was held by the senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental philology and translation of our university R. K. Orazbayeva.

In addition, a meeting - benefit was held for our readers "science&scientist: ONEGELI OMIR"-candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor B. Kosanov. The benefit was opened by the director of the Scientific Library Imansydykova Nurgul Zhailauovna. B. Kosanov told the students about his career in science, interesting events in his life.

A webinar" electronic library system of the publishing house" Almanac " was organized.

The festive event continued with a congratulatory ceremony and a concert program for the library staff. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for research and innovation of the University doctor of science (PhD) - Ertay Sultan took part and congratulated the library staff on the holiday. In his speech, he noted that "the library is our spiritual value, our unique wealth, because history, literature and other wonders of science, like the expressions of the past, are found in the collection of this library. I wish you good health, professionalism and integrity, creative success in your work for the benefit of spirituality", - congratulated the university library staff on their professional holiday and awarded the honorary Librarians of the Union of Librarians of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the badge "honorary Librarian of Kazakhstan", "veteran librarian", "letters of thanks" and "certificates of honor" of the University.

 In her report, the director of the Scientific Library - Nurgul Zhailauovna Imansydykova spoke in detail about the state of the modern library. During the year, the library specialists were awarded certificates "specialist of the year", "for outstanding works", "Zhas Maman". In addition, users of the library were awarded in the nominations "Library Janissary", "author of the year", "dear reader", "best reader". The event ended with a concert program prepared by students of the Faculties of Philology, art, physics, mathematics and computer science, natural sciences and geography. Also, a video about the activities of librarians and the work done during the year, a fair of book publishers "Almanac", "Lantar Books", "Alash Book", "Kemel" was held, an exhibition of booksrosing and new publications, works of teaching staff were presented to the public.
