The scientific library is a methodological center for libraries of higher educational institutions and secondary specialized educational institutions of the humanitarian profile in Almaty and Almaty region.
The library coordinates the regional libraries activities: it organizes and conducts seminars, conferences in all areas of information and library activities; studies and implements innovative technologies that contribute to improving the quality of information and library services for users: professional development of personnel, improvement of their qualifications.
Scientific library specialists participate in all conferences and seminars on librarianship.
Articles of leading specialists of the scientific library on the problems of librarianship are published in various editions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.
